Regulators

A scuba regulator reduces high-pressure air from your tank to a pressure you can breathe. Every setup has a first stage that attaches to the tank valve, a primary second stage you breathe from and an alternate (octopus) for your buddy. Most divers also add a pressure gauge or air-integrated computer.

If you dive cold water, look for an environmentally sealed first stage. If you travel, a lighter titanium or compact model is worth the upgrade. Choose DIN or yoke based on the tanks you dive most.
