A dive knife or line cutter is a safety tool, not a weapon. Its main job is freeing you or your buddy from fishing line, rope or kelp. Many divers carry a compact cutter on their BCD and a second tool as backup.
We stock dive knives, line cutters and shears from Mares, XS Scuba and Scubapro. Titanium blades resist corrosion and need almost no maintenance, while 304 stainless steel holds a sharper edge at a lower price. Smaller knives mounted on a BCD hose or chest strap are easier to reach than leg-mounted models.
